Family Lawyer – 2+ PQE – Newcastle Upon Tyne

About the role

This permanent, full‑time role offers a Family Lawyer the chance to join an award‑winning, Lexcel‑accredited firm in Newcastle Upon Tyne. You will manage a privately funded caseload, providing advice on divorce, financial remedy, children matters and related family law issues.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a varied portfolio of family law cases, including divorce, financial settlements and private children matters.
• Draft and review pre‑ and post‑nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes and other related documents.
• Provide clear, commercially‑focused advice while maintaining sensitivity to client needs.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years PQE managing your own privately funded family law caseload.
• Strong communication and drafting abilities.
• Proactive approach and ambition to grow within a collaborative environment.
• Experience in both financial remedy and children matters is advantageous.

Required skills

• Family law expertise (divorce, financial remedy, children matters).
• Drafting of legal agreements (pre‑nuptial, post‑nuptial, cohabitation).
