Family Solicitor (2–4 PQE) – Reading

About the role

Our client, an award‑winning Thames Valley law firm, is seeking a Family Solicitor with 2–4 years post‑qualification experience to join its Chambers‑ranked Family team in Reading. The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary and a supportive environment for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on divorce and separation matters.
• Handle financial remedy and complex matrimonial finance disputes.
• Manage private children law cases, including child arrangements and welfare issues.
• Draft and negotiate prenup, postnuptial and cohabitation agreements.
• Deal with international family law matters involving overseas assets or parties.
• Represent clients in cohabitation disputes, TOLATA claims, civil partnership matters and injunction applications.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 2–4 years PQE in Family Law.
• Proven experience in divorce, financial remedy and private children matters.
• Confident in advising clients on sensitive and complex family issues.
• Commercially aware with strong communication and client‑care abilities.
• Motivated to develop a career within a high‑performing Family team.
