Family Solicitor (NQ–5 PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a Family Solicitor (NQ–5 PQE) to join a boutique, award‑winning family law practice in Reading. The role offers exposure to high‑value, privately funded cases and the chance to develop a personal caseload within a supportive, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of privately funded family law matters under appropriate supervision.
• Advise clients on divorce, separation and relationship breakdowns.
• Assist with complex financial remedy proceedings, including high‑net‑worth disputes.
• Handle private children matters such as Child Arrangements Orders and parental responsibility issues.
• Draft and advise on pre‑nuptial, post‑nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
• Support civil partnership dissolutions and cohabitation disputes.
• Guide clients through mediation, collaborative law and other alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Work alongside senior lawyers on high‑value cases involving local, national and international clients.
• Build long‑term client relationships through exceptional client care and pragmatic advice.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with NQ–5 years PQE in Family Law.
• Experience handling privately funded family law matters, either during training or post‑qualification.
• Strong client‑focused approach and ability to work collaboratively.
