Female Enabling Support Worker – Crawcrook

About the role
Join Shaftesbury as a Female Enabling Support Worker in Crawcrook, Gateshead, and help a lady live her best life at home and in the community. You will follow her personalised support plan, provide encouragement, and ensure her safety and independence.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personal care and medication assistance as required.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities.
- Keep the client’s home tidy, comfortable and safe.
- Plan and prepare meals in line with SALT plans.
- Shop for groceries and household items.
- Accompany the client to medical appointments.
- Organise local activities and social connections.
- Cover sleep‑in shifts (extra £60 per session).
Required profile
- Female candidate, as the role is service‑specific.
- Friendly, bubbly and engaging personality.
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
- Committed to promoting independence, safety and wellbeing.
- Willing to work a 40‑hour week on a day and waking‑night shift pattern.
