Female Support Worker – Learning Disabilities

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Female Support Worker to join our learning disabilities team in Saltdean. You will work in a person‑centred environment, helping adults with learning disabilities and complex needs live independently and achieve their personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Promote independence, choice and wellbeing for service users.
• Provide personal care and support with daily living activities.
• Assist with community outings and encourage social participation.
• Maintain a safe, clean and supportive living environment.
• Record observations and communicate effectively with the care team.

Required profile

• A friendly, caring attitude with a big smile and sense of humour.
• Patience, kindness and compassion.
• Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Carer or relevant experience in retail, hospitality, warehousing, cleaning, customer service or administration.

Required skills

• None specific technical skills required.

• Hourly rate £12.75‑£12.95 with paid training.
• Salary increase to £12.85 after Care Certificate and to £12.95 after Level 2/3 NVQ.
