Field Sales Manager – Northern England (Hybrid)

About the role

Jackson Hogg is seeking two ambitious Field Sales Managers to drive growth for a market‑leading food manufacturing business across the Northern region of England. The role is hybrid, combining frequent field visits with occasional office work, and focuses on building long‑term partnerships with wholesalers, cash‑and‑carry operators, independent customers and end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of approximately 50 existing customer accounts.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities throughout the Northern region.
• Build strong relationships with wholesalers, cash‑and‑carry operators, independent customers and foodservice businesses.
• Develop and execute territory growth plans aligned with commercial objectives.
• Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, sampling activities and promotional events.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer developments.
• Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions and industry events.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and account support.

Required profile

• Proven success in Business Development, Territory Sales, Area Sales or Account Management.
• Experience selling into wholesale, cash‑and‑carry, foodservice or broader food & beverage sectors.
• Strong account management skills with a track record of growing existing relationships.
• Demonstrable ability to win new business and exceed sales targets.
• Commercially astute with a proactive, solution‑focused approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
