Field Service Engineer – Installation & Maintenance of Fume Cupboards

About the role
Join a highly skilled installation and maintenance team supporting a leading scientific equipment manufacturer. This home‑based field service role covers a regional area in Derby and the surrounding region, with occasional travel to client sites.
Key responsibilities
- Install and service fume cupboards and cabinets (Class 1 and Class 2) across educational, medical and technical facilities.
- Perform DOP (Diffusion of Particles) testing to verify cabinet performance.
- Provide on‑site troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Travel to client locations as required, with occasional overnight stays.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an installation or field service engineer.
- Specific experience installing and servicing Class 1 and Class 2 cabinets.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Residence within the Derby area or reasonable commuting distance.
Required skills
- Fume cupboard installation.
- Class 1 & 2 cabinet servicing.
- DOP testing procedures.
