Finance Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Brighton office on a full‑time, permanent basis. You will support the finance function of a multi‑award‑winning luxury jewellery retailer, handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks in a fast‑paced, multi‑currency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices, credit notes and payments, matching them to purchase orders.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and manage bank postings and payment reconciliations.
• Allocate vendor payments accurately and on time.
• Maintain the accounting inbox and respond promptly to queries from colleagues and suppliers.
• Prepare, review and check weekly payment runs.
• Assist with accounts receivable allocations, reconciliations and postings.
• Support the preparation of year‑end audit files.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with experience working in a fast‑paced finance environment.
• Familiarity with multi‑currency accounts and international finance processes.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
