Finance Manager – Multi‑entity Infrastructure Investment

About the role

This Finance Manager position supports a Manchester‑based infrastructure investment manager. The role offers high‑level responsibility across management accounting, financial accounting, reporting and company secretarial duties within a multi‑entity/project environment.

Key responsibilities

• Incorporate purchase ledgers, sales ledgers, cash books and loan schedules into ETBs and reconcile to SUN Systems.
• Maintain accruals, pre‑payments, amortisation schedules and prepare monthly management accounts, analysing actuals versus budget.
• Supervise VAT and CIS return preparation and submission, as well as invoice processing and cash‑book maintenance.
• Prepare statutory accounts for annual audit, produce supporting documentation and liaise with internal and external audit teams.
• Coordinate with tax advisors on corporation tax computations.
• Present finance reports to shareholders at quarterly project board meetings and track compliance with loan facility agreements.
• Maintain financial and operating models, prepare budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Take minutes at project board meetings and handle Companies House filings.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Experience managing multi‑entity or multi‑project finance environments.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Collaborative team player with strong commercial awareness.
