Finance Officer – Reconciliations (Hybrid, Oldham)

About the role

The Guinness Partnership is seeking a Finance Officer – Reconciliations to join its finance team in Oldham. This is a full‑time permanent position offering a hybrid working model with three days in the office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and investigate reconciling items.
• Resolve queries arising from reconciliations and month‑end processes.
• Monitor the cash‑management module for unreconciled transactions.
• Maintain control accounts accurately and respond promptly to internal and external enquiries.

Required profile

• Good working knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
• Experience in balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end financial processes.
• Understanding of internal financial controls.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a varied workload.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Studying towards an AAT or CCAB/CIMA qualification.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Cloud (desirable).
