Financial Accountant (1 yr MAT Cover)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance professional to join our European finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be responsible for overseeing daily finance and accounting processes across the Europe organisation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monthly and yearly financial closing, ensuring accurate records for AP, AR, AM, payroll and other areas.
• Prepare and review balance sheets, bank reconciliations and summary reports for regional and corporate executives.
• Take ownership of the annual audit, statutory accounting and group consolidation reporting in line with IFRS and Group Accounting Policies.
• Support EU subsidiaries with financial administration systems and drive system‑enhancement projects.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and workflow efficiency.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects as assigned by the company.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, CIMA or equivalent (part‑qualified considered).
• Experience supervising or managing a team in a similar environment.

Required skills

• IFRS knowledge.
