Financial Accountant

About the role

Dnata, a leading air and travel services provider, is seeking a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Manchester. The role focuses on delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining balance‑sheet control, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes across key accounting areas.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review weekly wages and salary accounting entries.
• Manage IT accruals, prepayments, rent concessions, and lease adjustments.
• Prepare overhead accruals and prepayments.
• Review and reconcile GRNI balances and open purchase orders.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Upload and validate financial data within EPM and FCCS reporting systems.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and collaborate with operational and finance stakeholders.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong experience in financial accounting and month‑end close.
• Proven ability to prepare accruals, prepayments, and payroll accounting.
• Experience managing reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• ERP and financial reporting systems such as Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to EPM and FCCS reporting and consolidation processes.
