Financial Accounting Manager

About the role

You will lead the Group consolidation process for a well‑established, rapidly growing PLC, ensuring timely, high‑quality financial reporting and insightful commentary to support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group consolidation and produce high‑quality financial reports and commentary.
• Review and enhance financial and management reporting processes, identifying efficiency and accuracy improvements.
• Prepare and review interim and statutory accounts for the Group and UK subsidiaries, ensuring full statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Drive the development of management reporting, focusing on efficiency gains and digitalisation.
• Build strong relationships with divisional and functional leaders, providing support, challenge and contributing to key business initiatives.
• Develop, mentor and support a high‑performing finance team while maintaining robust reporting controls.
• Partner with external auditors and liaise with professional advisers to ensure an efficient audit process.
• Develop and maintain Group accounting policies, ensuring consistent adoption and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA accountant with a strong technical accounting background, preferably from a Top 10 accountancy practice.
• Current Manager‑level experience leading complex group consolidations, statutory reporting and external audit engagements.
• Deep understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements, strengthen financial controls and influence senior business leaders.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Experience working with listed, private‑equity‑backed or multi‑entity groups is advantageous.
