Financial Controller – EMEA Finance Transformation (Remote, UK)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Financial Controller to lead the EMEA finance function for a global professional services firm. This six‑month fixed‑term position (with the possibility of extension and permanent conversion) offers direct access to the CFO and the chance to design and implement finance processes from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Own governance, reporting, treasury and compliance across multiple European entities and currencies.
• Lead the shared service centre and set regional finance standards.
• Develop financial models, forecasting frameworks and cost‑recovery tools.
• Oversee implementation of a new Salesforce‑based global finance platform.
• Manage multi‑currency consolidation, monthly and annual reporting.
• Partner with the CFO on performance analysis and deal structuring.
• Represent Finance in client and prospect meetings.
• Coordinate external audits, banking relationships and tax advisors.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 10+ years of finance leadership experience in multi‑entity, multi‑currency environments.
• Proven track record of delivering transformation in complex, high‑volume businesses.
• Comfortable working in a lean senior team without extensive specialist support.
