Financial Controller – SaaS Series A Startup

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing, VC‑backed SaaS company that is scaling revenue rapidly and expanding its team. As the first senior finance hire, you will own the entire finance function, building it from the ground up and supporting the founders in strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, statutory accounts preparation and audit coordination.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and financial reporting for investors and the board.
• Design and implement finance systems, controls and AI‑driven tooling.
• Set reporting cadence and provide commercial insights to the founders.
• Prepare the financial foundation for the next funding round.

Required profile

• ACA qualified, ideally with Big 4 experience.
• Post‑qualified experience in a high‑growth SaaS or tech scale‑up.
• Proven track record of building or significantly improving a finance function.
• Strong technical accounting expertise and month‑end ownership.
• Commercially sharp with confidence partnering with founders, engineers, investors and auditors.
