Financial Crime Manager

About the role

Join a reputable firm in Southampton as a Financial Crime Manager. This permanent role works 11 am‑7 pm on a hybrid schedule (three days onsite per week) and requires strong international exposure to financial crime regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the firm’s subject matter expert by developing, implementing, enhancing, and overseeing effective risk and compliance frameworks, internal strategies, policies, guidelines, and the ongoing management of the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
• Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, coordinating responses to findings and facilitating remediation activity.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory and legislative developments affecting the business.
• Conduct regular compliance testing and reviews across the business to confirm alignment with relevant laws, regulations, codes, AML/ATF requirements, and internal policies.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and professional intermediaries; ensure staff are informed and can respond to regulatory changes.
• Contribute to and support global risk and compliance projects, ensuring good governance, coordinated engagement, and consistency across jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ compliance experience in a financial services or professional services firm.
• Extensive knowledge of on‑ and offshore financial services, technologies, and regulatory environments.
• Familiarity with AML/ATF regulations and regional regulatory requirements such as Caribbean, Bermuda, Channel Islands, and Asia.
• Experience establishing and maintaining systems and controls, including documented policies and procedures to ensure compliance with AML/ATF laws.
• Corporate Services Provider expertise advantageous; corporate administration experience a plus.
