Financial Guide – Customer Financial Advice

About the role

Join Barclays as a Financial Guide in Glasgow, helping customers achieve their financial goals through personalised advice delivered via telephone and video appointments. This hybrid role works across a shift pattern between 8 am‑8 pm, Monday to Sunday.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clients' financial needs, including income, expenses, debts, savings and investment goals.
• Provide guidance on budgeting, debt management, savings, investments, mortgages and insurance.
• Explain complex financial concepts and product features in clear, understandable language.
• Recommend suitable banking products such as accounts, credit cards, loans, mortgages and investment solutions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with new products, regulations and market trends to ensure relevant advice.

Required profile

• Previous experience in financial services and telephony‑based customer service.
• Strong relationship‑management skills with active listening and engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to take ownership of complex situations and deliver tailored solutions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of unsecured lending and mortgages.
• Experience with savings and investment products.
• Good financial acumen.
