Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

Meraki Talent Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead the preparation of high‑quality GAAP financial statements for a diverse client portfolio. The role sits at the centre of a busy reporting function, working closely with clients, auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of annual GAAP financial statements for a portfolio of hedge‑fund and private‑equity clients.
• Oversee the production of up to 700 sets of financials per year, ensuring adherence to US GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage two offshore reporting teams (up to 30 people), providing technical direction, quality oversight and day‑to‑day coordination.
• Prepare disclosures, supporting schedules and audit documentation, and review them for technical accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and resolve complex accounting and reporting issues.
• Coordinate the annual audit process, liaising with auditors to address queries and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of accounting standards and assess their impact on client statements.
• Establish and sustain robust reporting processes, controls and review procedures.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial reporting or fund accounting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven ability to manage large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
• Leadership skills with a hands‑on approach to guiding and developing team members.
