Fire Door Inspector

About the role

SRVO is seeking a Fire Door Inspector to join its Risk & Compliance division, carrying out fire‑door inspections across residential buildings in the London area. The role is field‑based with remote support, offering a blend of on‑site inspections and home‑based reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect timber fire doors, frames, seals and certification evidence on residential properties.
• Check certification labels, CE marks, intumescent and smoke seals for compliance.
• Produce clear, accurate written reports with findings and recommendations.
• Advise property managers and clients on compliance obligations and next steps.
• Manage your own schedule, travel regionally and occasionally stay overnight for client needs.

Required profile

• Holds third‑party certification in fire‑door inspection (FDIS or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of timber fire doors, hardware and certification standards.
• Ability to work independently, organise inspections and meet deadlines.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.
