Fleet Manager

About the role

First Response Group is seeking a proactive Fleet Manager to oversee its vehicle fleet across multiple business divisions in Leeds. Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will ensure the fleet is maintained, compliant and ready to support operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day management of the company’s vehicle fleet, including servicing, MOTs, repairs and replacement schedules.
• Ensure full compliance with taxation, insurance, licensing and all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Allocate vehicles, manage disposals and coordinate with suppliers, leasing companies and service providers.
• Monitor fleet expenditure, identify cost‑saving opportunities and produce regular performance and utilisation reports.
• Investigate vehicle incidents, support insurance claim processes and maintain accurate fleet records.
• Provide guidance to drivers and operational managers on fleet‑related matters and ensure adherence to company policies and road traffic legislation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet management, preferably within a multi‑site environment.
• Strong knowledge of fleet compliance, vehicle taxation, insurance and licensing requirements.
• Ability to analyse costs, produce reports and implement efficiency improvements.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers, drivers and internal stakeholders.
