Forklift Service Engineer – Northampton

About the role

Join Toyota Material Handling's After‑Sales team as a Forklift Service Engineer in Northampton. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and modifying a range of forklift trucks and material‑handling equipment, ensuring customers receive reliable service and support.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain, overhaul and fault‑find company forklift products.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and provide local after‑sales support.
• Handle customer enquiries, problems or complaints efficiently.
• Manage vehicle stock and coordinate deliveries.
• Achieve agreed performance and service targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a forklift engineer, plant fitter, plant technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical engineering background.
• Basic electrical knowledge is advantageous.
• Effective planning, organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Full UK driving licence.
