Forklift Truck Driver

About the role

Northwood is looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join its warehouse team in Royton, North West England. You will work on a rotating shift pattern, handling goods safely and accurately while supporting daily warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate FLT Counterbalance and Reach trucks to load, unload, move and rearrange stock.
• Perform basic operation of palletiser systems and conveyors.
• Carry out pre‑use safety checks and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure 100% accuracy when loading/unloading by checking products against paperwork.
• Conduct daily and weekly cleaning tasks and maintain correct labelling and storage locations.
• Assist with stocktakes and provide the correct pallet types for production orders.
• Report near‑misses, incidents and injuries in line with site safety rules.

Required profile

• Valid FLT Counterbalance and Reach licence.
• Clamp truck experience.
• Good communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work safely in a repetitive lifting environment.
