Freelance Site Manager for New Build Apartment Project

About the role

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a new‑build apartment development in Swansea. The position starts immediately and runs for 12 months on a freelance basis.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and ensure the project stays on schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on‑site personnel.
• Maintain health, safety, and quality standards throughout the construction phase.
• Monitor progress against the programme and report to the client.
• Manage site documentation, permits, and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential construction projects.
• Strong contracting background with the ability to manage budgets and timelines.
• Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certification, and First Aid qualification.

Required skills

• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• First Aid certification
