Frozen & Ambient Stock PI

About the role

The Frozen & Ambient Stock PI joins a team responsible for maintaining accurate stock of frozen and ambient products. You will support both administrative and operational activities, working closely with senior operations clerks and the Stock Manager to ensure paperwork and goods handling are flawless.

Key responsibilities

• Manage product shelf‑life and verify stock details (pack size, quantity, price, best‑before dates).
• Process returns to suppliers and depots, and promote good supplier relationships.
• React to sales fluctuations, seasonal changes, and supply issues to minimise out‑of‑stock items.
• Maintain communication channels between suppliers, managers, colleagues and external depots.
• Participate in depot stock‑take procedures and produce KPI reports.
• Ensure correct stock balance across all temperature zones and escalate supplier issues.
• Handle slow‑moving and delisted products, and support service‑level targets.
• Provide training for administrative staff and generate daily, weekly and periodic reports.

• Impeccable communication skills and strong numerical ability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive health‑and‑safety mindset.
