Full Stack AI Engineer
ryan · London
Job description
About the role
Ryan is hiring a Full Stack AI Engineer, an early-career software engineering role focused on building full-stack applications with generative AI and agentic capabilities embedded in the solution architecture. It suits high-potential graduates and engineers with up to three years of experience who want to apply AI to real business problems rather than add AI for its own sake. The role sits in a fully functioning engineering team, from understanding the problem through development, deployment and iteration.
Key responsibilities
- Work with business professionals and customers to understand problems and workflows, and identify where generative AI or agentic approaches add value.
- Design, build and improve AI-enabled full-stack software, covering discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment and iteration.
- Build applications that may include large language models, agent-based workflows, retrieval, APIs and other AI capabilities.
- Support deployment and adoption of solutions used by real users in business and client environments.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and iterate on deployed applications based on user feedback, performance and reliability.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and learn from more experienced team members.
Required profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML or a related field, or equivalent experience; suitable for recent graduates and candidates with about 0-3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals shown through work, internships, projects, open-source contributions or hackathons.
- Hands-on exploration of generative AI, large language models or agentic systems; commercial generative AI experience is not required.
- Ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs in detail.
Required skills
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language such as Python, TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Full-stack experience, including frontend and backend with technologies such as React, Node/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI.
- Core concepts: APIs, databases, Git, testing, debugging and application architecture.
- Conceptual understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP; hands-on deployment experience is beneficial but not required.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs, retrieval, vector databases and agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph or AutoGen.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
- Business connectivity reimbursement (phone/internet).
- Gym membership or equipment reimbursement.
- LinkedIn Learning subscription.
- Tuition reimbursement after one year of service.
- Award-winning culture and community outreach.
