Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer

About the role

Perlego is looking for a Full‑Stack JavaScript Engineer to join one of two cross‑functional squads – either the Learner (D2C) tribe or the Partner (B2B) tribe. You will help build and scale a platform that makes education more accessible, working on both customer‑facing and partner‑integration features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑performance web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA and data engineers to deliver features aligned with data‑driven goals.
• Maintain and evolve micro‑service architecture, REST APIs and event‑driven systems.
• Implement automated tests, CI/CD pipelines and monitor cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Participate in A/B testing, performance optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience building performant web applications with JavaScript, React/Next.js, Node.js and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of micro‑services, REST, OOP, functional programming, relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proven track record with AWS services and cloud‑native development.
• Experience working in Agile teams using Test‑Driven Development and CI/CD.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
