About the role

Join Pearson as a remote examiner responsible for marking GCE A Level Physics (2016 specification) scripts. This role offers insight into the assessment process and can enhance your teaching practice.

Key responsibilities

• Mark candidates' responses in line with the official mark scheme.
• Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader by designated deadlines.
• Adhere to marking milestones and complete all required administration.
• Participate in training sessions in May‑June and mark scripts during the May‑July period.

Required profile

• At least one academic year of recent teaching experience (within the last 8 years) at A Level or equivalent.
• Degree in Physics or a closely related subject, or a degree in another field with a minimum of three years teaching A Level Physics.
• Qualified teacher status or equivalent teaching experience.
• Retired teachers with extensive experience are also welcome.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ePEN digital marking platform.
