GCSE Arabic Examiner (2017 Specification)

About the role

Pearson is seeking qualified Arabic teachers to act as GCSE Arabic (2017 Specification) examiners. You will mark candidates’ responses remotely using the ePEN online marking system, ensuring consistency with the official mark scheme.

Key responsibilities

• Mark scripts accurately and consistently to maintain overall standards.
• Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader at designated times.
• Adhere to marking milestones and deadlines.
• Complete all required administrative tasks as specified.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Qualified teacher status (UK or overseas qualifications accepted).
• Minimum 5 months part‑time teaching experience in the UK within the last 10 years, or recent assessment experience with a recognised UK exam board.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of subject knowledge in Arabic to apply the mark scheme.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ePEN online marking platform.
