General Assistant

About the role

JD Gyms is expanding rapidly across the UK and seeks a General Assistant to uphold high standards of cleanliness and provide friendly, professional support to members in the Dundee club.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms brand standards throughout the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report defects to keep the building and equipment safe.
• Keep the gym facility clean to a high standard.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives and training activities.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Experience in a customer‑facing, cleaning, leisure or similar environment (advantageous).
• Effective communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing responsibilities independently.
