General Technician - Hair & Beauty

About the role
The General Technician will support teaching and learning in the Hair & Beauty Department of a college, ensuring the specialist work areas run safely and efficiently on a part‑time, term‑time only basis.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels and assist with sourcing and ordering of materials, consumables and equipment.
- Prepare resources, materials and equipment for practical sessions and demonstrations.
- Manage consumable and physical resources, ensuring safe movement and storage.
- Maintain specialist work areas, storage facilities, equipment and machinery clean, organised and tidy in line with Health & Safety requirements.
Required profile
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy or Media Make‑Up.
- English and Maths at Level 2 or above.
- First Aid at Work certificate or willingness to obtain it promptly.
