Graduate Application Developer – IT Graduate Role

About the role

CR Smith is seeking a motivated Graduate Application Developer to join its IT team at the head office in Dunfermline. You will work under the Head of IT, contributing to the design, development and maintenance of internal applications that support a fast‑moving home‑improvement business.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business needs and create new technological solutions.
• Produce technical reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Build efficient, scalable solutions for desktop and mobile platforms.
• Streamline workflows and improve communications across the organisation.
• Develop and maintain Microsoft SharePoint sites, PowerApps and PowerBI dashboards.
• Create interfaces between DB2 databases and Microsoft applications using SQL.
• Maintain legacy IBM RPGLE applications on the IBMi platform.

Required profile

• Degree in an IT‑related subject.
• Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus.
• Enthusiastic, detail‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player with a proactive attitude.
• UK driving licence (beneficial) and right to work in the UK.
