Graduate Aspiring Educational Psychologist – Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated graduate to join our specialist school near Dorking as an Aspiring Educational Psychologist and Teaching Assistant. You will work closely with therapists and teachers to support children with severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students, adapting activities to individual abilities.
• Collaborate with the Therapy Department to integrate therapeutic approaches across the curriculum.
• Assist in planning and delivering learning activities that promote social skills and academic progress.
• Offer pastoral and academic guidance, maintaining clear communication with parents and staff.

Required profile

• Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
• Resilient under stress, calm in conflict situations, and a good listener.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).

Required skills

• Ability to plan and adapt learning activities.
• Experience or interest in working with special‑needs students (desirable but not essential).

What we offer

• Full‑time contract (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm, term‑time only).
