Group Management Accountant (Finance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially‑minded Group Management Accountant to join our central finance team in Corsham. The role will deliver accurate management accounts, support financial planning and work closely with Finance Business Partners across the Group’s schools and entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for all Group schools and entities, enabling consolidated reporting.
• Produce month‑end journals, balance‑sheet reconciliations and manage intercompany accounting and cross‑charging.
• Oversee transactional processing, accounting and reporting for the Group, Holding and Property companies.
• Provide variance analysis with narrative commentary for senior leadership.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and KPI reporting.
• Administer supplier payments, ensure strong financial controls and assist with audit and tax compliance.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, processes and reporting efficiency.
• Assist with acquisition integration, growth projects and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Manage and support one direct report.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience in management accounting or group finance.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
