Group Reporting Accountant – Finance

About the role

The Group Reporting Accountant will join the finance team of an international organisation based in Oxford. You will be responsible for delivering accurate group‑level financial statements, statutory filings and management information across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the monthly group reporting process, including consolidated management reporting and variance analysis.
• Prepare balance‑sheet, cash‑flow and management reports with commentary.
• Perform inter‑company and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Review and validate financial data submitted by subsidiaries.
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated statutory financial statements under UK GAAP.
• Provide audit schedules and respond to auditor queries.
• Produce financial analysis for senior leadership.
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes and month‑end controls.
• Participate in finance transformation projects and ad‑hoc analysis.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum three years of post‑qualification experience in group or financial reporting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and consolidation.
• Experience preparing consolidated statutory accounts.
• Proven ability to produce management reports and financial analysis.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• ERP or finance system experience.
• Power BI or similar reporting tools (advantageous).
