Group Tax Accountant – Global Corporate Tax Role

About the role

We are partnering with a world‑leading group to hire a Group Tax Accountant. Reporting to the Group Tax Manager, you will join a high‑performing international tax team, supporting global corporate tax compliance, reporting, transfer pricing and advisory across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns in collaboration with external advisors and finance teams.
• Support year‑end group tax reporting under IFRS, including UK tax packs, consolidation work, technical memos and auditor queries.
• Prepare group effective tax rate (ETR) and cash tax forecasts.
• Manage UK GAAP statutory tax disclosures and maintain a global corporate tax compliance calendar.
• Assist development of the group Transfer Pricing policy and oversee related documentation.
• Lead UK Senior Accounting Officer compliance and contribute to the Group Tax risk register.
• Provide tax advisory to business units, supporting M&A, refinancing and restructuring projects.
• Identify process improvements, automation opportunities and manage the tax team budget.

Required profile

• Recognised accounting or tax qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong understanding of consolidated and entity tax reporting under IAS 12/IFRS.
• Corporate tax experience in a multinational environment or top‑tier accounting firm.
• Ability to apply tax and accounting knowledge to identify business opportunities.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and strategic thinking skills.
