Group Tax Manager

About the role

JSS Tax is recruiting a Group Tax Manager for a fast‑growing engineering company based in South Buckinghamshire. Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created permanent position will own the global tax function and build the in‑house tax capability from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the group’s tax strategy and planning across all jurisdictions.
• Provide commercial tax advice and partner with business units on project‑related tax matters.
• Manage tax risk, ensure compliance and oversee the outsourcing of tax compliance activities.
• Design and implement robust tax processes and controls.
• Lead tax aspects of large engineering projects and support the finance team on ad‑hoc analyses.

Required profile

• Significant experience in international direct tax; indirect tax experience is a plus.
• Strong commercial acumen and proven stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a green‑field environment.
• Based in South Buckinghamshire or the surrounding area.
