Head of Business Development – Sports Hospitality

About the role

The Head of Business Development will drive commercial growth for a portfolio of sports hospitality partnerships, shaping go‑to‑market strategies and leading a small commercial team. The role focuses on increasing contract wins, improving event yield, and creating scalable products that align with operational capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the business development strategy for hospitality partnerships and events.
• Identify and qualify B2B and B2C revenue opportunities across corporate, sponsorship and group segments.
• Develop pricing, packaging and commercial models to maximise revenue and margin.
• Lead, coach and manage a small commercial team to achieve sales targets.
• Collaborate with operations, marketing and finance to ensure offers are deliverable and profitable.
• Negotiate commercial contracts and partnership agreements with sponsors and corporate clients.
• Provide market insight, competitor analysis and performance reporting to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven record in business development or commercial leadership within hospitality, events or sports partnerships.
• Experience in pricing strategy, packaging and revenue management.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Data‑literacy with ability to interpret performance metrics and market trends.
• Excellent leadership with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Willingness to travel to regional venues and work evenings or weekends as required.
