Head of Change and Transformation (Interim)

About the role

We are seeking an interim Head of Change and Transformation to lead enterprise‑wide programmes for a fast‑growing technology organisation based in Somerset. Reporting to senior executives, you will shape the transformation strategy and drive its execution across operational and digital functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the organisation’s transformation strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead a portfolio of strategic change initiatives across operational, digital and business functions.
• Partner with executive stakeholders to define priorities, drive change and support growth.
• Oversee delivery of complex programmes, ensuring they are on time, within budget and meet agreed outcomes.
• Champion change‑management practices, engaging and supporting colleagues throughout transformation.
• Identify and implement process optimisation and automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Monitor programme performance, reporting on progress, risks, budgets and business benefits.
• Manage transformation budgets, governance and financial controls.
• Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary project and change teams.
• Establish governance frameworks, controls and best‑practice methodologies.
• Support senior leadership with strategic planning and organisational development.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large‑scale business transformation programmes.
• Proven ability to work with senior executives and influence decision‑making.
• Strong track record of delivering programmes on time and within budget.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in process optimisation, automation and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage budgets and ensure financial governance.
• Leadership experience in mentoring multidisciplinary teams.
