About the role
Arden University is seeking a senior academic leader to head its Computing postgraduate programmes. The role combines strategic oversight, curriculum innovation and staff development to deliver high‑quality, industry‑relevant education.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Computing academic team, overseeing recruitment, performance management and professional development.
- Drive curriculum design and continuous improvement for postgraduate courses, ensuring alignment with current technology trends and employer needs.
- Maintain academic quality and compliance through robust quality‑assurance processes.
- Represent the department in university‑wide strategic planning and external partnerships.
- Manage the hybrid working model, coordinating on‑site presence at the Stratford campus and occasional travel to Manchester and Berlin.
Required profile
- Proven academic leadership experience in higher education, preferably within computing or related disciplines.
- Strong record of research, teaching excellence and industry engagement.
- Ability to inspire and mentor staff and foster a student‑centred learning environment.
