About the role

We are seeking a Head of Conveyancing to lead our highly regarded Residential Conveyancing team in Chester. This senior position offers the flexibility to work from home while playing a pivotal role in the firm’s continued growth across residential and commercial property sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Residential Conveyancing department, overseeing a team of ten fee earners and junior staff.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high‑quality client service and compliance with property law.
• Drive the department’s strategic growth, shaping its vision and expanding commercial property capabilities.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering professional development and a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years post‑qualification experience.
• Demonstrable managerial experience within a property law practice.
• Extensive expertise in residential conveyancing and a solid understanding of commercial property matters.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of property law and conveyancing processes.
• Experience handling both residential and commercial property transactions.
