Head of Finance - Clear Pathway to Finance Director

About the role

Talent Finance Ltd is partnering with an ambitious, fast‑growing business to hire a Head of Finance. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will own the finance function and play a pivotal part in shaping strategy, driving performance and preparing the organisation for its next growth phase.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a small finance team.
• Own monthly management accounts, reporting and financial performance analysis.
• Deliver budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Provide commercial insight to support growth and profitability.
• Strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting and ways of working.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business.
• Hold teams accountable to financial objectives and performance expectations.
• Support strategic projects, business planning and future growth initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or equivalent experience.
• Currently working as a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or Head of Finance.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, growing environment.
• Strong business partner who can influence and challenge constructively.
• Passionate about improving processes, driving efficiencies and delivering results.
• Confident leader able to build credibility at all levels.
• Willing to operate strategically and roll up sleeves when needed.
