Head of Marketing – Retail Brand Leader

About the role

The Ashdown Group, a well‑known bricks‑and‑mortar retailer based in Crewe, is seeking a strategic Head of Marketing to shape and deliver its brand across all customer touchpoints. This 9‑12 month fixed‑term role, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent, reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will drive brand growth, customer engagement and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the overall brand strategy, ensuring consistency across digital and retail channels.
• Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive acquisition and loyalty.
• Leverage customer insights and CRM data to optimise engagement and ROI.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
• Monitor and report on brand performance metrics, adjusting tactics as needed.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a Head of Marketing or equivalent senior role within a bricks‑and‑mortar retail environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement brand strategy and commercial marketing plans.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing high‑performing teams.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience using customer insights to influence decisions.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £70,000‑£100,000 pro‑rated, DOE.
