Head of Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially‑minded Head of Operations to lead the operational function of a fast‑growing technology business operating in a regulated environment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will own day‑to‑day performance across Client Services, Compliance and Product, working closely with Sales, Finance and platform delivery teams to ensure operational excellence and scalable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational delivery for Client Services, Compliance and Product functions.
• Design, implement and continuously improve scalable processes, controls and governance frameworks.
• Define, monitor and report on operational KPIs and performance metrics.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Oversee customer and partner onboarding, ensuring smooth transition from Sales to Operations.
• Collaborate with Sales and Finance on forecasting, billing and contractual processes.
• Maintain strategic oversight of regulatory compliance and obligations.
• Manage relationships with external technology providers and service partners.
• Provide operational oversight of platform and product delivery, keeping projects aligned with business priorities.
• Drive automation and transformation initiatives to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Significant operational leadership experience within a Technology, SaaS or FinTech environment.
• Proven track record scaling operational functions in start‑up, scale‑up or high‑growth businesses.
• Demonstrated success delivering process automation, efficiency gains and operational improvements.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work with senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing compliance and regulatory requirements.

• Competitive salary up to £90,000 depending on experience.
