Head of Residential Property – Conveyancer

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position offers an experienced conveyancer the chance to lead a residential property caseload within a well‑established legal practice in Petersfield. You will work in a supportive, collaborative environment with the option of flexible hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the transaction.
• Draft, review and prepare legal documents and correspondence.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, estate agents and other professional contacts.
• Ensure files are efficiently managed and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Achieve agreed billing and time‑recording targets.
• Undertake legal research and attend court or external meetings when required.
• Support the wider team with administrative tasks, mentoring or training as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience handling residential conveyancing matters.
• Commercial property experience is an advantage.
• CILEx qualification or a current practising certificate is desirable.
• Excellent communication and client‑care skills.
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding client service and ongoing professional development.
