Head of Sales – Foodservice

About the role

This senior leadership position is responsible for driving national sales performance for a fast‑growing B2B foodservice distribution business. You will shape the sales strategy, improve operational discipline and deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing, multi‑regional sales team.
• Drive consistent execution in new‑business acquisition, account development and customer retention.
• Implement structured pipeline management and ensure strong conversion rates.
• Align internal and external sales functions to maximise customer coverage.
• Use data, KPIs and reporting to manage performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and deliver commercial strategy.
• Maintain strong governance, forecasting accuracy and reporting standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing large, field‑based B2B sales teams.
• Proven track record of delivering sales and margin growth in a distribution‑led environment.
• Strong leadership capability with a balance of motivation and accountability.
• Highly commercial mindset with a data‑driven approach to performance management.
• Experience operating in fast‑paced, competitive markets.
