Head of Sales – QSR Franchise Growth

About the role

This senior position leads the franchise sales function for a fast‑growing food‑technology business that operates quick service restaurant (QSR) brands across the UK. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will shape the sales strategy, acquire new franchise partners and build the processes and team needed for rapid national expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a franchise sales strategy aligned with ambitious UK growth plans.
• Generate and manage a robust pipeline of qualified franchise opportunities from lead generation to contract signing.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Development Managers, fostering a high‑performance sales culture.
• Set, monitor and report on KPIs across the sales pipeline to drive conversion and franchise openings.
• Collaborate with Operations and Launch teams to ensure seamless onboarding for new franchise partners.
• Work with Finance and Growth teams on commercial initiatives that maximise market penetration and profitability.
• Monitor franchise performance to enhance partner success and long‑term retention.
• Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates and strategic reports to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior sales or commercial leadership role.
• Track record of developing and executing successful growth strategies.
• Experience building, leading and scaling high‑performing sales teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles and meet ambitious growth targets.
• Hands‑on approach combined with strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Passion for hospitality, food or franchising is highly desirable.
