Head of Strategic Operations (Technology)

About the role

Saga Group is looking for a Head of Strategic Operations (Technology) to define its long-term technology direction, explore emerging trends, challenge supplier roadmaps and identify ways to strengthen its capabilities. The role reports to the Technology Operations Director and works across teams, business units and strategic suppliers, influencing at a senior level and ensuring Technology Operations aligns with Saga's wider business ambitions. It is based in London/Folkestone on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Define the long-term technology direction by exploring emerging trends and challenging supplier roadmaps
• Work across teams, business units and strategic suppliers to influence decisions at a senior level
• Champion evidence-based decision-making and ensure Technology Operations is aligned with Saga's business ambitions
• Balance innovation with resilience, manage long-term technology risks and dependencies, and ensure the technology strategy supports a seamless, relevant and valuable customer experience

What we offer

• Salary of £85,000 - £95,000 depending on experience, plus a car allowance
• Hybrid working at home and in the office, with ad-hoc attendance at the London and Folkestone offices according to business needs
