Healthcare Support Worker – Community Treatment & Adult Care

About the role

We are seeking a caring and motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join our District Nursing team in West Dunbartonshire. The permanent part‑time position (21.5 hours per week) is based at the Vale Centre for Health and Care and involves providing community‑based care to adults.

Key responsibilities

• Support district nurses in delivering skilled nursing interventions to patients in their homes.
• Assist with personal care, medication administration, and health monitoring.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate observations to the clinical team.
• Work independently in a clinical or homely setting while adhering to health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure person‑centred care.

Required profile

• SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
• Current experience as a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW).
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
