Help Desk Technician – IT Support (Hybrid)

About the role

You will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure remains operational. The role combines proactive monitoring, maintenance and day‑to‑day support, reporting to the Helpdesk Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support to clients via phone and ticketing system.
• Monitor and maintain Windows Server and workstation environments.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve incidents, managing tickets through to closure.
• Configure and support wireless networks, including Unifi/Ubiquiti equipment.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365 and Office suite applications.
• Document solutions and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of IT concepts, Windows Server/Workstation and networking.
• Experience installing, configuring and administering Windows desktop operating systems.
• Familiarity with connecting devices to a Microsoft Windows domain.
• Ability to configure wireless networks; knowledge of Unifi/Ubiquiti is a plus.
• Strong telephone etiquette and friendly customer service.
• Attention to detail, logical problem‑solving and punctuality.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively within a team.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a salary of £28,000‑£32,000 per year.
