HGV Class 2 Driver – Croydon

About the role

Veolia is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 driver to join its growing fleet in Croydon. You will work a 40‑hour week on the AM shift (05:00‑14:00), delivering essential waste collection services to local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive to planned and ad‑hoc collection sites, picking up bags and bins.
• Use a tablet to receive, manage and record jobs in real time.
• Lift and pull items of varying weights and sizes safely.
• Perform daily vehicle checks according to the driver operator handbook.
• Enter all information into the onboard system and submit paperwork each day.
• Comply with traffic laws, load security and weight regulations.
• Keep the carriageway clean and promptly clean any spillages.
• Work on bank holidays as required.

Required profile

• Valid Cat C (Class 2) licence.
• Up‑to‑date Driver CPC.
• Current Digi/Tachograph card.
• Desirable: experience in RCV/waste industry and a clean driving licence.
